Hi,

I purchased the plugin Content Field - Amazon WS to my website, i new in this business and i dont understand how to use in this plugin.

Possible to get help how to use in this plugin and all Through to active the protect in my page.

If i have the "Plugin for Joomla Content Articles" and i want to Show Products in my site, i must to be user in aws.amazon.com ???

or i can be just affiliate in "amazon associates" to show products of other seller in my site ?


When i try to copy the embed code to my page with all the details as you Explanation in the FAQ i get this message ***Request must contain AWSAccessKeyId or X.509 certificate.*****

What i am need to do ?

You have to sign up to a developer account at aws.amazon.com.

In order to use the Amazon Product Advertising API to display Amazon products on your site you need to provide an access key, a secret (private) key which is used to sign the requests, and an associates id, which is used to credit you with any sales.

Please see www.spiralscripts.co.uk/FAQ/how-to-get-a...advertising-api.html for details on obtaining the keys. You then need to put them into the plugin configuration on your site using the Joomla plugin manager.

If you are getting this error message it is because you have not correctly supplied the Access Key.

i tried to insert the embed code in category in Joomla 1.6 and this is the message i get
(the category in Joomla is like Page)

If you want to set the search index to all you can use the keywords parameter to search for items.

If you want to search for a title and author you need to set the search index parameter to Books, or some other category that supports these - it is explained in the documentation: www.spiralscripts.co.uk/Documentation/am...n-documentation.html

Look at the part that explains the searchIndex - the available search Indexes are listed, and it is clearly stated that you need to use Books in order to do an author or title search.

An example is

{amazonWS:searchIndex=Books;title=Harry,Potter}

I saw it is work with your Code (herry Potter) in Category Page in Joomla 1.6

But i tried to put other protect (fashion) and it is not working, He may not pull all products from amazon ? or i can put all protect i am want with other embed code ?

You can use fashion products, Amazon calls them 'Apparel' so you have to set the search index to 'Apparel'. The Apparel category does not support searching by title, you have to do a keyword search, eg

{amazonWS:searchIndex=Apparel;keywords=silk,scarf}

The id number is the ASIN which is listed in the product details on the Amazon product page.

Note that the parameter is 'itemId', not 'Itemid' or 'itemID', it is case senstive.
