We've got the extension working on 2 of our Joomla 1.5 sites, but suddenly on the 3rd it refused to work. It simply displays: {loadposition custom}

We've got the Content -Load Modules enabled

There is no difference between how it's configured on the other 2 sites and how it's set up on this one.

Ideas?

If you are simply seeing the text {loadposition custom} this is an issue with the load module plugin, not with the carousel module. If you say that the plugin is enabled then possibly you are trying to use it in a context that does not support content plugins, or you have somehow misconfigured the plugin, eg changed the plugin file.

I didn't explicity touch or change the plugin file but it could have become corrupted. Can I simply copy over the plugin from one of my other Joomla 1.5 servers/sites? will that restore the plugin?

Yes, that sounds like the best option.

Unfortunately, it made no difference. Still can't see the Carousel, just the {loadposition custom} code.

Other ideas?

As I said, this is a problem with the load module plugin, not the carousel, it's really not something I can solve for you. If it were a problem with the carousel module you would not see the {loadposition custom} text, you would see module output of some sort.

For some reason the plugin is not activating, either you have messed up the configuration of the plugin, or the plugin file. Or you are trying to use it in a context that does not support content plugins, eg a custom html module - before Joomla 1.6 these don't support content plugins.

There is no other explanation.

Do other content plugins work on your site? It could be some sort of general problem with Joomla content plugins.
