Could there be some markup in your field values that is causing problems with the display? E.g. if they have been pasted from Word documents. You may find that cleaning up the html helps.

I have tested it myself, the carousel module definitely does work with the html field. Is there something you are overlooking in the setup? Which layout are you using? For example if you choose the thumbnails layout then if there is no image the article won't be displayed.

Can you give me some more information, eg show me an example on your site where it is not displaying as it should, otherwise there is really nothing further I can do, I cannot find any problem.

There is a bug I have found in the includes/modFeaturedItemsCarouselResourcesHelper.php file, line 293

	else if ( ($row->type == 'text') || ($row->type == 'textare') || ($row->type == 'html'))

should be

	else if ( ($row->type == 'text') || ($row->type == 'textarea') || ($row->type == 'html'))

You could try fixing that, but I don't think it can be causing your problem because it affects the textarea field, also the bug exists in Featured Items Pro too. I can't find any problem with the html field.
