Where can I modify the Created By line as well as the Written by? Can this be done with the new update easily?

If you want to modify the text it's just a matter of editing the language file.

If you want to turn off the display altogether you can do this through the module options: 'Show Article Author', 'Show Creation Date', 'Show Modified Date'
