This custom field plugin for Joomla and Virtuemart 2 can be used to sell virtual products on your Virtuemart sites. We developed it for use on our own site. It includes the following useful features:-

1. Downloads can be restricted either by number of downloads or time period - or both;
2. Download entitlements can be edited for individual customer orders, for example you can increase the number of downloads a particular customer is entitled to;
3. Download restrictions are applied to the custom field not the downloaded file, so you can change the file, for example, if you want to release a new version;
4. Download security, customers  are not able to download anything they are not entitled to.

The plugin is implemented as a custom field, you simply create a custom field, attach it to your product, and set the parameters including the download file.
