Cannot find Joomla XML setup file 1 week 2 days ago #2642

Trying to install the file I just downloaded (I haven't opened or modified the downloaded ZIP in any way) and I'm getting:

Warning
JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find Joomla XML setup file

Not sure what might be wrong...any idea?
The administrator has disabled public write access.

Make sure that you are installing the correct version for your site. If your site uses Joomla 1.5 the package file will have the name plug_amazonWS_J15.zip, if you are using Joomla 2.5 or 3 then it will have the name plug_amazonWS_J25.zip.

Your order gives you download links for both versions. If it is not installing the likely explanation is that you downloaded the wrong one.
